They now have an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent part-time basis. Hours will be 30 hours a week, and within business hours, these can be flexible (Monday would be required).
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for duties such as monthly bank reconciliations and month end GL reconciliations, month end accruals and prepayments, updating the FAR, reporting, and assisting with Payables and year end reporting as required. You will also be processing the weekly payroll for waged staff, and completing FBT and GST responsibilities. A role with lots of variety, to be successful you will:
- ideally have experience in the construction industry, or similar
- have experience in an Asst Acct/Accts Asst role carrying out the above tasks
- be strong with Excel, including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
- have the ability to work with more than one system, and have no issue with multi-tasking
- enjoy working in an office environment that ranges from calm and quiet to bustling and energetic, depending on the day
