We are seeking a Finance Manager for an initial six month fixed term*, to join a large New Zealand infrastructure and technology services organisation that plays a key role in keeping the country connected.
This is a broad and hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Group Financial Controller, where you will oversee financial reporting, balance sheet integrity and financial controls while partnering closely with operational leaders to provide insight and support decision making.
You will also lead, develop and mentor a team of four finance professionals, creating a high-performing team environment focused on continuous improvement, accuracy and strong financial discipline.
Success in the role will require someone who brings an enterprise mindset – able to think beyond functional boundaries, understand the broader commercial drivers of the business and contribute to organisation-wide performance and improvement.

You are a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional who values end-to-end ownership of the areas you support. You combine strong financial control and technical capability with a genuine partnering approach, working closely with the business to drive insight and performance. You also enjoy developing people and building a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement and delivery.
You will bring:
- CA qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong financial accounting experience including balance sheet management and financial reporting
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, ideally including IFRS 16 leases
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis within a large, complex organisation
- Proven leadership experience including developing and mentoring finance staff
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- An enterprise mindset, with the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to broader organisational outcomes
- A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement
