We’re looking for an experienced and detail-driven Finance Manager to lead a capable team of three, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and systems integrity. This role is central to maintaining high standards of control and reporting across the finance function. Reporting directly to the newly promoted CFO, you'll be their eyes and ears, enabling them to step up effectively.

You’ll bring deep technical accounting expertise, strong knowledge of NZ and Australian reporting and tax requirements and a proactive approach to systems and process improvement. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail, strengthening controls and ensuring the numbers - and the systems behind them - are rock-solid.

About the Company  A trusted provider of finance, SaaS and compliance solutions, partnering with major enterprise clients across Australasia.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and coordinate a team of three finance professionals.
  • Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting across NZ and Australia, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements and all external audit requirements.
  • Oversee tax compliance, including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll-related obligations across both jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and improve financial systems, controls and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Drive process and systems enhancements, working closely with IT to optimise automation, reporting and workflow accuracy.
  • Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger integrity.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues and evolving compliance requirements.
What you’ll bring
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or similar qualification.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in finance or accounting, with strong exposure to technical accounting and tax compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of NZ and AU accounting standards, IFRS and tax legislation.
  • Proven experience improving or implementing finance systems and processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with corporate accounting software.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communicator who can clearly explain technical matters to both finance and non-finance audiences.
Why you’ll love it
You’ll be part of a highly regarded, forward-thinking business that values accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement. Be part of a global expansion success story.

This opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact by refining systems, strengthening compliance and leading a capable team that takes pride in doing things properly. If you’re a technically strong finance professional who enjoys improving systems, solving complex accounting challenges and ensuring everything balances perfectly – we’d love to hear from you.

Regrettably, we are unable to accept applications if you are not already residing in NZ with a valid work visa, residency or citizenship.

Applications will not be assessed until week beginning 5 January 2026, so normal response times will not apply.
