We’re on the lookout for a qualified accountant who’s ready to step into a key leadership role covering a maternity leave for around 15 months (depending on start date). If you're someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, mentoring others, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be the perfect next move.
In this role, you'll lead a small, experienced finance team and take charge of the day-to-day financial operations. From reviewing payroll and payments to tax and reporting, you'll ensure everything is accurate, on time, and running like clockwork. This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety, where your attention to detail and ability to juggle priorities will really shine.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and supporting a team across accounts payable/receivable + assistant accountant
- Overseeing payroll and payment processes
- Managing tax returns and making sure all compliance boxes are ticked
- Preparing reports for leadership, audit, and performance tracking
- Getting involved in cashflow forecasting and financial statements
- A fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent)
- Someone who’s confident working both independently and as a team leader
- Great attention to detail and a proactive, practical mindset
- Strong communication skills – you’ll be the go-to person for all things finance
