This high performing Funding & Analysis team is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Financial Analyst on a contract basis where you’ll contribute to key infrastructure projects by delivering high-quality financial and economic analysis to support business cases and funding applications.

You’ll play a part in long-term financial modelling, assess whole-of-life project costs, and explore innovative funding sources. Your work will help shape smarter investment decisions that benefit all Aucklanders.

What you’ll do:
· Prepare benefit-cost assessments using established Investment Decision-Making Framework
· Support and peer review business cases for major transport projects
· Assist with long-term modelling and funding optimisation
· Collaborate across Finance, Procurement, and project teams
· Stay current on economic methodologies and public sector funding processes

What you’ll bring:
· 2+ years' finance or economic analysis experience
· Strong analytical and modelling skills (Excel, Power BI)
· Understanding of public sector economics or transport funding a plus
· Great communicator and relationship builder
· Highly organised with a sharp eye for detail
