This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax & Treasury leader to take ownership of a broad international remit within a successful New Zealand head office business.
Reporting directly to the CFO and with Board exposure, this is a highly visible role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with commercial curiosity. You’ll be someone who naturally asks, “why are we doing it this way?”, identifies opportunities to improve, and has the confidence and capability to make change happen.
You’ll lead the Group’s tax and treasury function, with a particular focus on improving how the business manages cash across multiple jurisdictions. This includes reviewing banking arrangements, optimising cash and liquidity, securing competitive interest rates, and ensuring the business is taking a proactive rather than reactive approach.
You’ll also take ownership of the Group’s tax requirements, while reviewing and developing policies, processes and controls to improve efficiency, governance, and visibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading tax and treasury across a complex international business
- Optimising cash, liquidity, banking arrangements and interest rates
- Improving cash visibility and forecasting across the Group
- Developing and improving tax and treasury policies and processes
- Managing banking, tax adviser and other external relationships
- Providing commercial advice to the CFO, leadership team and Board
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and ways of working
You’ll be an experienced tax and treasury professional who can build credibility quickly and operate confidently with senior stakeholders.
Technically strong, commercially minded, and naturally inquisitive, you’ll want to understand how things work and, importantly, how they could work better.
You’ll bring strong tax and treasury expertise, ideally within a complex or international environment, along with experience in cash management, banking relationships, policy development, and process improvement.
This is an opportunity to have genuine influence, working closely with the CFO and Board to shape and strengthen the tax and treasury function of an international organisation.
