We’re working with a large, established New Zealand organisation embarking on a major digital transformation journey. With operations that span the country and directly impact sustainability and community outcomes, this business is investing heavily in technology to drive smarter decisions, better customer experiences, and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the CFO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Technology will define and deliver the organisation’s digital strategy and technological capabilities. You’ll oversee enterprise systems, infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity, while leading a capable internal team and key strategic vendors. This is a role for a visionary leader who can balance strategy with execution, turning ideas into measurable outcomes and ensuring technology acts as a genuine business enabler.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the enterprise technology roadmap and digital transformation strategy
- Maximise investment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and modern cloud platforms
- Lead the adoption of advanced analytics, business intelligence, and AI-driven automation
- Strengthen cybersecurity, data governance, and business continuity
- Build and mentor a high-performing, business-aligned IT team
- Foster innovation and partnership across the executive and operational landscape
You’ll bring both strategic vision and technical depth. Confident influencing at board level, you’re also hands-on enough to engage directly with teams and vendors to make transformation happen.
- 10+ years’ experience in technology leadership, with at least 5 at senior/executive level
- Proven success delivering large-scale digital transformation or ERP/Cloud modernisation
- Strong experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365, cloud, and analytics environments
- Solid grounding in information security, governance, and vendor management
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-engagement skills
