This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation’s people strategy while ensuring robust health and safety frameworks support operational delivery.
Working closely with the executive and operational leadership teams, you will help drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across the business.
The Opportunity
In this role you will:
- Lead the HR and Health & Safety function across a national operational footprint
- Partner with senior leaders to support workforce strategy and organisational performance
- Strengthen safety culture, systems, and compliance across multiple operational sites
- Provide guidance on employment relations, organisational development, and leadership capability
- Ensure alignment with NZ employment legislation and health & safety regulations
- Support change initiatives, workforce planning, and operational growth
You will bring a balanced background across human resources and health & safety, ideally gained within operational or industrial environments such as logistics, transport, manufacturing, or infrastructure.
Key attributes include:
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role
- A related qualification in Human Resources and/ or Health and Safety
- Strong knowledge of NZ employment law and Health & Safety at Work Act requirements
- Experience supporting multi-site operational teams
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operational leaders
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused leadership style
- Experience building strong workplace culture and safety outcomes
