We’re seeking an experienced ITS Specialist to support the planning, delivery and monitoring of Intelligent Transport System initiatives that improve safety, network performance and customer outcomes across Auckland’s transport network.
This role sits within Technology Solution Delivery and works closely with operational teams, project managers and external vendors to ensure ITS technologies are researched, trialled, validated and successfully integrated into live environments. You’ll operate across innovation, engineering analysis and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging ITS technologies and innovations
- Lead POC and MVP trials, including supporting documentation
- Document business requirements and use cases
- Analyse inputs and performance results to measure impact
- Provide ITS technical guidance to internal stakeholders
- Support project teams to ensure technology aligns with delivery objectives
- Assist with implementation of new ITS solutions with minimal disruption
- Maintain ITS documentation and technology registers
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants and cross functional teams
- 5–7+ years’ experience within Intelligent Transport Systems or transport innovation
- Practical experience across traffic or transport engineering environments
- Experience leading POC or pilot initiatives
- Strong analytical capability across requirements and results
- Ability to manage stakeholders across technical and operational teams
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Computer, Engineering or Business related degree
- Agile or Project Management exposure beneficial
