We’re looking for someone who can consult with clients confidently and flex across SQL / analytics delivery, Power BI, AI experimentation, and analytics engineering. We need someone well-rounded, proactive, and capable of owning outcomes.
About you:
- 4–7 years’ experience in data / analytics
- Strong SQL (proper modelling, optimisation, not just querying)
- Confident with Python (able to build small end-to-end solutions)
- Exposure to AI experimentation (LLMs, APIs, personal projects or Masters-level work welcomed) is great to have
- Curious and fast learner
- Thinks beyond the brief — brings solutions, not just questions
- Comfortable speaking to clients
- Can manage multiple projects without heavy supervision
- Proactive and commercially aware
1) Client Delivery (Immediate Focus)
- Develop and maintain SQL / Synapse / Fabric-based solutions
- Build and optimise Power BI datasets (model-first approach)
- Improve and evolve existing client solutions
- Work directly with clients in delivery discussions
- Manage small workstreams independently
- Adapt to the technologies the client uses (whether it’s Snowflake, dbt etc.)
- Support AI discovery sessions with clients
- Work alongside senior team members to understand business processes and identify high-value AI or automation opportunities
- Help translate operational challenges into structured use cases
- Build lightweight proof-of-concepts (Python, APIs, LLM integration) to validate ideas
- Contribute to AI / ML solution development under guidance from our data science lead
- Assist with experimentation, testing and evaluation of models where required
- Contribute to data pipeline and transformation work
- Work across modern Azure analytics environments
- Grow into deeper engineering capability over time
What This Role Is Not
- Not a junior developer who need task-level instruction
- Not a pure dashboard builder
- Not a deep ML researcher
- Not a purely data engineering role
