About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll take ownership of monthly reporting, champion continuous improvement, and deliver insights that bring the financial story to life. This is a hands-on role in a supportive environment where accountability, agility and a “work hard, play hard” culture are valued.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing accurate and timely management accounts, year-end financial statements and monthly reporting
• Owning the month-end process including journals, reconciliations and analysis
• Providing insights and commentary to support decision-making across the organisation
• Driving process improvements and sharing financial knowledge with others
• Managing cashflow, GST/FBT obligations and audit preparation
• Supporting funding applications and compliance requirements
• Helping mentor team members and build finance capability across the organisation

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role with strong management accounting capability
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (working towards CA welcome)
• Proven experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills with the ability to tell the story behind the numbers
• Commercial awareness and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organised, detail-focused and able to take ownership of outcomes
