This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with delivery. You'll shape the organisation's marketing and communications direction while remaining hands-on writing compelling content, building the brand, managing PR and supporting digital marketing initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering the marketing and communications strategy.
- Protecting and growing a trusted New Zealand brand.
- Writing compelling communications including donor communications, media releases, executive messaging and organisational content.
- Leading public relations and media engagement.
- Overseeing digital marketing across the website, social media, email marketing and digital content.
- Partnering closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to support organisational priorities.
- Using data and insights to continually improve marketing performance.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
- Leading and supporting a small team of marketing professionals.
- Proven experience in a senior marketing and communications role.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for a range of audiences.
- Strong experience across brand, communications, digital marketing and public relations.
- Experience developing and delivering marketing strategies.
- Confidence partnering with senior leaders and providing trusted advice.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to adapt in a small team environment.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is advantageous but not essential.
