We’re partnering with a forward-thinking organisation to find an exceptional Practice Manager
to lead and evolve a high-performing Platform Engineering team.
This role is all about people leadership — not hands-on technical work. You’ll be responsible for nurturing talent, setting direction, and building a practice that’s scalable, strategic, and future-fit.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of 20–30 platform engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and strategic direction.
- Set the Standard: Ensure the delivery of high-quality work, aligned with best practices and business objectives.
- Grow the Practice: Shape and execute the practice strategy, balancing current and future capability needs.
- Drive Excellence: Implement and continuously improve processes, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Build Talent: Hire and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Champion Collaboration: Partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver value and build trusted relationships.
- Promote Knowledge Sharing: Cultivate a community of practice with learning, sharing, and performance at its heart.
- You’re an experienced people leader with 5+ years in a similar leadership role, ideally managing large technical teams (20+ people).
- You bring a strong understanding of platform technologies such as SAP, Salesforce, Mulesoft, ServiceNow, EUC, and DBA.
- You have a strategic mindset with a passion for capability development and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- A background in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
