We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to join our clients' Procurement Services team in Invercargill.
This is a broad and commercially focused procurement role where you will work closely with stakeholders to deliver effective procurement outcomes.
You will lead and support end-to-end tender processes, provide commercial advice, and manage supplier and contract relationships in line with procurement policies and best practice.
You will be involved in:
- Leading tenders, evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.
- Developing procurement plans, business cases and procurement strategies.
- Providing commercial and procurement advice to operational leaders and stakeholders.
- Managing contract reviews, performance, risks and supplier relationships.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues across the procurement function.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers, contractors and external stakeholders.
- 5+ years' procurement experience, with strong exposure to tenders, evaluations, negotiations and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, systems, policies and best practice.
- Experience developing procurement documentation and tender reports.
- Excellent analytical, written, presentation and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Experience within local or central government would be advantageous, as would MCIPS or other relevant professional qualifications.
