Our client is a leading provider of security and protective services, supporting major organisations across commercial, government and critical-service environments.
Operating within a complex, highly regulated and customer-focused sector, the organisation delivers essential services through a large, geographically dispersed frontline workforce. It is now seeking an accomplished senior operational leader to take responsibility for its Northern Region, covering Auckland and Northland.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Regional General Manager will lead a substantial business unit generating approximately $60 million in annual revenue and employing more than 500 people.
This is a broad leadership position with full accountability for the region’s P&L, operational delivery, people performance, key client relationships and profitable growth.
What you'll be responsible for
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across the Northern Region.
- Owning the regional P&L, including revenue, margins, forecasting and cost management.
- Leading and developing a team of senior operational managers.
- Ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across major client contracts.
- Identifying opportunities for organic growth, contract expansion and improved profitability.
- Driving operational improvement, workforce productivity and stronger commercial discipline.
- Maintaining high standards across health and safety, risk, compliance and employee relations.
- Contributing to the organisation’s wider strategy as a key member of the senior leadership team.
- Senior leadership experience as a Regional General Manager, General Manager Operations, Operations Director or equivalent.
- Full P&L accountability within a substantial business unit or regional operation.
- Experience leading a large, dispersed frontline or field-based workforce through multiple management layers.
- A strong understanding of contracted or outsourced service delivery.
- Experience managing major client relationships, contract performance and service escalations.
- Confidence operating within a regulated, safety-critical service environment.
- Commercial capability across budgeting, forecasting, workforce costs and business growth.
