This is not your typical corporate finance role. We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst – Planning & Performance who thrives in a flat, collaborative structure where everyone rolls up their sleeves, supports each other, and owns their piece of the puzzle.
The Role
In this role, you will partner with teams across digital and print to truly understand the business, its performance, and where opportunities lie. You’ll be working both backwards and forwards – looking at the numbers in detail while also building financial models that forecast the future.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering insightful financial reporting, including month-end, budgeting, and forecasting
- Building financial models that help explain performance and drive better decisions
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business, translating numbers into clear insights
- Improving the way data is used, ensuring it’s robust, efficient, and adds real value
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and working in the grey when answers aren’t obvious
You’re not just a numbers person – you’re curious, commercial, and collaborative. You’re comfortable challenging the status quo, asking “why”, and helping teams improve performance. You’ll also bring:
- A finance or accounting qualification and experience in financial or commercial analysis
- Strong financial modelling, planning, and reporting skills
- Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels and simplifying complex data
- A proactive mindset – someone who takes ownership but also works well in a supportive team
This is a chance to make an impact in an organisation that touches millions of New Zealanders every day. You will gain exposure across the business, work directly with senior leaders, and help shape performance in a fast-moving, ever-evolving industry.
