We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support a business-critical reporting project for the Third Party Distribution (TPD) business.
This is a business-funded initiative focused on delivering the reporting and insights that advisers, head groups, and internal leaders need to effectively manage performance, productivity, turnaround times (TATs), and service levels.
What You’ll Do:
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for the Data & Analytics team
- Run workshops with internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritise reporting requirements
- Collaborate closely with:
- TPD business teams based at C:Drive (Albany)
- Data & Analytics (Self-Service Analytics and Insights) team at Wynyard Quarter
- Hub leaders based remotely across other regions
- Help shape reporting solutions by understanding the “why” behind stakeholder asks, not just the “what”
- Act as a translator between business and data teams – ensuring outcomes are understood, aligned, and actionable
- Strong background in business analysis, ideally within a data, reporting, or analytics environment
- Experience working closely with technical data teams and translating business problems into data/reporting requirements
- Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across all levels (including GMs and regional leads)
- Skilled at facilitating workshops, running interviews, and managing complex requirements
- Naturally curious – someone who’s comfortable challenging assumptions and improving how things are done
- Work on a high-impact, business-sponsored initiative with clear executive visibility
- Hybrid working across two Auckland hubs (2–3 office days/week)
