Our client is a leading civil infrastructure contractor delivering large-scale projects across New Zealand and internationally. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking experienced Senior Project Engineers to join their Structures division in Christchurch and Picton.
These opportunities will see engineers working across major structural and infrastructure projects, including Water Treatment Plants in Christchurch and Marine Structure Development Projects in Picton to name a few.
The Role
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Senior Project Engineer will support the successful delivery of complex civil and structural projects through effective planning, commercial support, coordination, and leadership.
This role will suit experienced Civil Engineers who enjoy balancing technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, programme management, and mentoring site teams in a fast-paced project environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support delivery of large-scale structural infrastructure projects.
- Lead project coordination, planning, procurement, and commercial activities.
- Manage subcontractors, project programmes, and variations.
- Champion health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor Site Engineers and contribute to team development.
- BE Civil or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience within civil or structural construction.
- Strong experience delivering infrastructure or structural projects.
- Commercial and contractual understanding within project environments.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Marine or port infrastructure experience advantageous for Picton roles.
