This is an opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect to join a large, complex enterprise environment in a broad, generalist role with a strong Enterprise Architecture and consulting focus. Working early in the investment lifecycle, you’ll take high-level business requirements and investment cases and translate them into clear systems, technology and architectural direction.
A key focus will be discovery understanding the current environment, validating assumptions and navigating incomplete information to determine the right way forward. You’ll work across a varied technology landscape spanning on-premise, cloud and SaaS solutions, engaging with business, technical and vendor stakeholders to understand how different systems and dependencies fit within the wider enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review investment cases and translate business requirements into clear technology and architecture implications.
- Lead discovery to understand current-state systems, previous decisions, dependencies and gaps in existing information.
- Develop solution architecture direction across on-premise, cloud, SaaS and vendor-managed environments.
- Engage with business, technical and vendor stakeholders to validate requirements, assumptions and solution options.
- Bridge the gap between high-level investment decisions and detailed technology delivery, ensuring solutions align with broader enterprise strategy.
- Strong Solution Architecture experience with the ability to operate across both enterprise and solution architecture levels.
- Broad technology experience spanning on-premise, cloud and SaaS environments, rather than deep specialisation in a single technology stack.
- Strong discovery and consulting capability, with experience translating loosely defined business requirements into architecture and technology direction.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working across business, technical and vendor audiences in complex enterprise environments.
- An inquisitive, pragmatic and collaborative approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, validate information and independently drive work forward.
