VBA Remediation & Cloud Migration Consultant – Financial Services
This role will suit someone who enjoys stabilising complex environments while also shaping and delivering the roadmap to modern, cloud-based solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Troubleshoot and remediate existing VBA automation issues.
- Assess current VBA workflows, document root causes, and provide stabilisation.
- Develop a business case to migrate processes from Excel/VBA into a robust cloud platform (Snowflake preferred, Azure also considered).
- Engage with senior stakeholders to clearly articulate the value of data and analytics to the business.
- Support execution of the migration plan (initially 2–3 months, with potential for extension).
- Strong VBA expertise with hands-on experience fixing complex Excel-based workflows.
- Proven background in cloud migration projects, ideally with Snowflake or Azure Data Factory/Functions.
- Consultative approach with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build compelling business cases.
- Financial services experience (investments background highly regarded).
- Auckland-based, with the ability to work onsite several days a week.
- Initial short-term engagement for business case development, followed by 2–3 month migration delivery.
