

Tim founded Alexander James in 2011 along with Stuart and Marie after a number of years in Senior Management positions for some large international recruitment businesses in New Zealand. Tim specialises in the sourcing for roles such as Chief Executives, Chief Financial Officers and Chief Operating Officers.


Sally joined Alexander James in early 2015 and is currently a Consultant in Accounting and Finance Business Support area. Sally looks after roles such as Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Assistant, Payroll and Assistant Accountants. Sally has more than 10 years sourcing, search and recruitment experience in New Zealand, the UK and Canada.


Casey joined the Alexander James team in 2018 after an extended period of travel. Casey has a passion for people and joined the team to invest in her professional development, initially taking on a key role to support our consultants in Accounting and Finance before stepping up into a Consultant role within the team. Casey specializes in sourcing specialist talent in our Accounting and Business Support space.


Originally from Poland, Adrianna joined the Alexander James team in 2019 as an Associate Consultant. Back in Europe, Adrianna was an experienced Category Manager for Tesco where she gained her knowledge of Supply chain and Procurement processes. Adrianna is responsible for sourcing top talent in both permanent and contract roles for our Procurement and Supply Chain team.


Laura joined the Digital, Data and Technology team at Alexander James in early 2020. She has a 3 year background in Permanent recruitment starting and running an Early Childhood Recruitment company for two years. She gained fantastic knowledge having worked in various sectors recruiting top talent. Laura is excited to get stuck into the Digital, Data and Technology division at Alexander James.


Katie joined Alexander James in early 2017 and has a background in digital sales in a SaaS environment. Katie is now managing the Digital, Data and Technology team and actively recruits across both contract and permanent roles. These include (but are limited to) roles such as; Project Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, Data Specialists, IT Managers and more.


Aaron joined the Alexander James team early 2021 as an Associate Consultant in the Accounting and Finance Permanent team after an extensive time working for Air New Zealand in corporate and government support roles. Aaron has a passion for solving problems and is invested in creating great opportunities for people through recruitment and relationship building.


Having spent a number of years in the recruitment industry, Marie founded Alexander James alongside Tim Slyfield and Stuart Maxwell in early 2011. Marie is our Finance Manager and she has more than 20 years’ experience working in accounting.


Georgie joined the Alexander James team in early 2021 as an Associate Consultant. She has come from a software start-up company, with experience in People and Operations. Georgie has a passion for people and prides herself in building exceptional relationships with candidates and clients. Georgie is part of the Digital, data and Technology team at Alexander James and she is tasked with sourcing specialist talent for both Permanent and Contract roles.


Bonita joined the Alexander James team in early 2014 having previously worked with Tim Slyfield. Bonita currently heads up our Accounting and Finance Permanent team and has over 15 years’ experience as an Executive Recruiter in New Zealand specifically specialising in Accounting and Finance.


Monica joined Alexander James in 2018 as an Accounts Administrator. Monica has held a variety of administrative roles within the insurance and financial sectors and recently within the area of tertiary education.


Lucy joined the Alexander James team in early 2020 with a focus on sourcing the best Accounting and Finance talent in a contract capacity. Starting her recruitment career in 2010, Lucy has always had a focus on Candidate Management within the executive Accounting and Finance space and has a passion for this area.


Leanne joined the Alexander James team in 2011 having worked with two large recruitment businesses in a support capacity for a number of years. Leanne has extensive experience in candidate and client management and is warm and engaging consultant who has built long standing relationships across the board. Leanne is responsible for supporting our Contract Accounting and Finance team.


Toni joined the Alexander James team in 2019 to head up our Construction team. She brings 15 Years’ technical recruiting experience from both internal & external capacity in New Zealand, UK and the Middle East, specialising in Construction and Engineering.


Kim joined Alexander James in 2015 following ten years in various recruiting roles. Kim heads up our Accounting and Finance Contracting team. Kim is responsible for recruiting across all levels of Accounting and Finance in the contracting space.


Stuart is a founding Director of Alexander James, along with Tim and Marie, and has more than 14 years’ recruitment experience in both New Zealand and the UK. In Stuart’s previous role he was General Manager and owner of Kiwi expat portal Track Me Back. Using this experience Stuart is regularly involved in assignments that require offshore sourcing and search.


Ann-Maria joined the Alexander James team in early 2018. She has an extensive background within the IT and Telecommunications Industry which has given her an understanding of the unique needs and skill sets. Ann focuses on Digital, Data and Technology roles in a permanent capacity – which includes (but is not limited to) Project Managers, Analysts, Engineers, Technical leads, Architects, Developers and more.


Tessa joined Alexander James in 2015 as a Consultant. Tessa currently works in our Construction team and recruits a variety of roles in this area. Tessa brings a significant amount of recruitment experience having worked in both internal and external recruitment environments.


Sarah joined the Alexander James team in 2019 as an Associate Consultant in the Digital, Data and Technology team before stepping up into a Consultant role in early 2020 to focus on contract recruitment. Sarah has a strong customer service and administration background and prides herself on delivering exceptional service to clients and candidates.


Rob joined the Alexander James team in 2020 and has an extensive amount of hands-on experience in the procurement and supply chain fields across many different industries. Rob brings his passion for problem-solving when matching candidates to roles in Procurement and all areas of Supply Chain and Operations.
