

Tim founded Alexander James in 2011 along with Stuart and Marie after a number of years in Senior Management positions for some large international recruitment businesses in New Zealand. Tim specialises in the sourcing for roles such as Chief Executives, Chief Financial Officers and Chief Operating Officers.


Sif joined the Alexander James team as a Senior Consultant in 2016 and brings over a decade of experience in the New Zealand ICT industry. Her previous roles have ranged from IT administration and processes, to sales and strategic vendor management.


Tessa joined Alexander James in 2015 as a Consultant. Tessa is responsible for supporting a number of areas within our business and is a specialist in Executive Search assignments. Tessa looks after (but not limited to) Sales, Marketing and Human Resources and ad hoc project related roles.


Casey joined the Alexander James team in 2018 after an extended period of travel. Casey has a passion for people and joined our team to invest in her professional development, initially taking on a key role to support our consultants across the business. Casey has recently stepped up and supports the Accounting and Finance Permanent team with sourcing specialist talent.


Sally joined Alexander James in early 2015 and is currently a Consultant in Accounting and Finance Business Support area. Sally looks after roles such as Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Assistant, Payroll and Assistant Accountants. Sally has more than 10 years sourcing, search and recruitment experience in New Zealand, the UK and Canada.


Bonita joined the Alexander James team in early 2014 having previously worked with Tim Slyfield. Bonita currently heads up our Accounting and Finance Permanent team. Originally from South Africa, Bonita has over 12 years’ experience as an Executive Recruiter in New Zealand.


Having spent a number of years in the recruitment industry, Marie founded Alexander James alongside Tim Slyfield and Stuart Maxwell in early 2011. Marie is our Finance Manager and she has more than 20 years’ experience working in accounting.


Logan joined the Alexander James Accounting and Finance Permanent team in 2016. Logan looks after the business support area in accounting and works with candidates across all industries for permanent roles such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Assistants, Assistant Accountants and Payroll.


Antonia joined the Alexander James team in 2018 as an Associate Consultant to support the Accounting and Finance Contract team. Antonia has exceptional customer service and is primarily tasked with talent management and research across the team. Antonia has over 8 years working experience in retail management having worked in London, Melbourne and Auckland.


Katie joined Alexander James in early 2017 and has a background in digital sales in a SaaS environment. Katie is now looking after IT contracting, covering digital, data and technology related roles. This will include (but not be limited to) roles such as; Project Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, Data Analysts, UX Designers and more.


Anna joined the team at Alexander James in 2018 as an Associate Consultant. Anna brings 6 years’ of recruitment experience gained in New Zealand and London within the IT, Administration and Construction industries. Anna looks after a range of roles mostly, but not exclusively, in the Procurement, Supply Chain and Construction space.


Stuart is a founding Director of Alexander James, along with Tim and Marie, and has more than 14 years’ recruitment experience in both New Zealand and the UK. In Stuart’s previous role he was General Manager and owner of Kiwi expat portal Track Me Back. Using this experience Stuart is regularly involved in assignments that require offshore sourcing and search.


Monica joined Alexander James in 2018 as an Accounts Administrator. Monica has held a variety of administrative roles within the insurance and financial sectors and recently within the area of tertiary education.


Ann-Maria joined the Alexander James team in 2018 as an Associate Consultant. Ann brings with her over ten years’ experience within the ICT space including two years in a specialist IT recruitment role. Ann’s role is to resource talented IT candidates in both the contract and permanent space.


Kim joined Alexander James in 2015 following ten years in various recruiting roles. Kim heads up our Accounting and Finance Contracting team. Kim is responsible for recruiting across all levels of Accounting and Finance in the contracting space.


Mark joined the Alexander James team in 2017 and leads the Construction and Technical division, specialising in search and selection for roles within the Construction and Engineering industries. Mark has 20 years in-house and external recruitment experience having worked for global agencies and multinationals in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.


Leanne joined the Alexander James team in 2011 having worked with two large recruitment businesses in a support capacity for a number of years. Leanne has extensive experience in candidate and client management and is warm and engaging consultant who has built long standing relationships across the board.


Brad joined the Alexander James team in 2017 to set up and lead a new division, specialising in search and selection for roles within the Supply Chain and Procurement disciplines. Brad has over 10 years recruitment experience gained from consulting in London, Melbourne and New Zealand.
